$3,500,000 Settlement for Man Injured in Accident With Sanitation Truck
On June 14, 2011, the Plaintiff, a 47 year old NYCTA bus operator, was seriously injured when the bus he was driving was rear ended by a NYC Sanitation truck in Brooklyn, New York. As a result of the accident, plaintiff sustained injuries to his neck, back and left shoulder. Plaintiff eventually underwent surgical intervention to his neck, back and left shoulder. Plaintiff was able to return to work for approximately nine months and then was unable to return to work due to his injuries. The Plaintiff alleged damages for past and future medical treatment and costs for same as well as past and future lost earnings.
Result: The case was settled with The City of New York after they agreed to pay $3,500,000 for the client’s damages.
