DESCRIPTION OF CASE
Plaintiff was inspecting vacant guest rooms on the hotel’s eighth floor when she slipped on debris, which she described as plaster or compound. She claimed that she slipped onto her back and fell down a flight of metal stairs.
INJURIES/DAMAGES
Plaintiff sustained an aggravation of pre-existing herniated discs at L3-4, L4-5 and L5-S1. She also claimed that they injury led to radiculopathy and a compete disability. She underwent a laminotomy and a fusion at L3-5. She subsequently suffered from post-surgical infections, nonunion of the surgical site, and failed-back syndrome. She added that she would need at least one additional fusion.
